Gary Losada brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his various roles in public service, private enterprise, and community leadership. A dedicated professional, Gary has testified before the Texas Senate Property Tax Reform Committee, making a significant impact on property tax reform. His commitment to public service extends to his tenure as President of the Office Liquidation Center and Aztec Glass, where he demonstrated strong leadership.


Gary's involvement with the Arlington Independent School District showcases his dedication to community development, as he served on Blue Chip Review Committees. In his dynamic career, he served as Director of Human Resources at LW Kentron International, further honing his skills in corporate management and labor negotiations.


Education has played a vital role in shaping Gary's knowledge and skills. He holds a Master's degree in Education/Organization Administration from Stanford University (1974) and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a Business Minor from the University of San Francisco (1973).


Gary's residences include Southlake, TX, from 2013 to the present, and Arlington, TX, from 1990 to 2013. His commitment to the community is underscored by his service on the Tarrant Appraisal District Board of Directors (2020-2021) and the Tarrant Appraisal Review Board (2009-2015), where he chaired the hearings committee for all six years. In this capacity, he was responsible for conducting hearings on residential, commercial, and personal property taxes, opining on various exemptions and real estate valuations.


In his role as President of GMPL Corporation, Gary played a key role in purchasing raw land for development and presenting planned developments to city government and planning and zoning. As President of the Office Liquidation Center/Aztec Glass Company, he successfully managed the purchase and sale of office furniture and wholesale glass distribution.


Gary's leadership extends to various executive roles, including Director of Administration at Dallas Area Rapid Transit, where he organized and established crucial departments. As Director of Human Resources at LTV Kentron International/Oil States Ind., he served as the chief labor negotiator and was responsible for corporate-wide staffing and training.


His career also includes serving as Assistant to the Superintendent at Santa Rosa City Schools in Santa Rosa, California, where he handled pupil transportation, data processing, board policy implementation, and labor relations. As Assistant to the City Manager in Palo Alto, California, Gary took on responsibilities such as budget preparation, policy implementation, public relations, and special assignments.
